Fruits in eau-de-vie

To keep the flavours of the summer fruits, our ancestors preserved them in eau-de-vie in order to be able to enjoy them in the winter period.

Respectful of tradition, the Lehmann Distillery carries on this custom and offers you the choice of a wide range of fruits in eau-de-vie.

JARS OF FRUITS IN EAU-DE-VIE 50 CL

Raspberry in raspberry eau-de-vie:  the raspberries are hand-picked by a small local producer who puts them directly into the jars to keep intact both the appearance and the flavour of the fruit. A lightly sweetened raspberry eau-de-vie is added to preserve the fruit and then time is necessary for the raspberries to soak up the eau-de-vie. Enjoy this delicacy just for the pleasure it gives you.

Blackberries in blackberry eau-de-vie: same process of artisanal production as for raspberries.

Morello cherries in kirsch eau-de-vie:  the cherries are picked directly from the tree and the stalks cut at approximately 2 cm, and then they are put in a lightly sweetened kirsch eau-de-vie. The cherries are neither candied nor stoned – they have a delicious, slightly acid taste. This delicacy is eaten just for pleasure. Your aperitifs can also be enhanced by these red fruits: they should be served in a Champagne or “Crémant” (Alsatian sparkling wine) flute glass.

Reine-Claude (greengage) plums in plum eau-de-vie: the plums are very carefully harvested to keep the fruit intact and then placed delicately in the jars and covered with a plum eau-de-vie. It takes time for the plums to soak up the eau-de-vie. When ready, enjoy the delicacy just for pleasure or use it to enhance your desserts.
